Sadhana Retreat at God’s Mountain Estate

“Sadhana” is the sanskrit term for your spiritual practice, be it asana, mantra, meditation…  The intention is to learn through your practice and make it a life habit.  Each year we offer the opportunity for yogis to deepen their practice and retreat for a sadhana intensive alongside our yoga teacher training students. You can come for one week or two.

This retreat is held at the lovely God’s Mountain Estate, near Penticton, BC.  Participants attend morning and evening sessions with highly qualified yoga instructors for 5.5 hours per day, enjoying different leadership and styles of yoga.  If you wish to add philosophy into the mix we are happy to accommodate that interest and have you join those discussions at 10am in exchange for the evening yoga.  All instructors are Registered Yoga Teachers including Marion (Mugs) McConnell, Kamala Wilkie, Bob McConnell and Tasha Scott.

Midday is free time to relax in a nook on a couch, take a soak in the hot tub, go on a hike or visit a winery.  There is plenty of space to pursue personal enrichment endeavors such as journaling, personal yoga practice, or some guidance from our leadership.

viewThe accommodations are cozy and spacious at the lovely at God’s Mountain Estate, each with its own bathroom.  Rates are based on single occupancy (rooms are suitable for couples).

A lunch and dinner meal package is included.  All meals, prepared by Chef Alexandra Goodall, are vegetarian, celiac friendly, non GMO, 80-90% local organic ingredients tailored to the season.  Participants have access to a large outdoor kitchen for preparing a light breakfast if desired.

Daily Retreat Schedule:

  • 7am to 10am  morning kriyas, mantra, meditation, pranayama and asana.
  • 5pm to 7:30pm evening asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation (or the option to attend the philosophy studies from 10am – noon)

Dates and Rates:  

April 4th to April 11th for a ONE WEEK retreat (morning and evening classes with 200 Hour teacher training students).  36 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation.   Note: No evening class April 7th.

  • Full Retreat: $1004.50 including gst.  36 hours of asana, pranayama and meditation, 7 nights private room with bath, 12 meals (lunches and dinners – you prepare your own breakfasts).
  • Partial Retreat: $451.50 including gst. 36 hours of asana, pranayama and meditation.  No meals or accommodation.

April 4th to April 18th for a TWO WEEK retreat (morning and evening classes with 200 Hour teacher training students).  75 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Note: No evening classes April 7 & 12.

  • Full Retreat: $1877.75 including gst. 75 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation, 14 nights private room with bath, 23 meals (lunches and dinners – you prepare your own breakfasts).
  • Partial Retreat: $798.00 including gst. 75 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation.  No meals or accommodation.

April 21st to April 27th for a ONE WEEK retreat (intermediate level classes with 300 Hour Advanced Upgrade teacher training students.)

  • Full Retreat:  $916.50 including gst.  33 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation, 6 nights private room with bath, 11 meals (lunches and dinners – you prepare your own breakfasts).
  • Partial Retreat:  $409.50 including gst. 33 hours of asana, pranayama, and meditation.  No meals or accommodation.
